Lenard Tejada could be the first skateboarder to represent New Zealand on the Olympic stage. He's used his own funds to go to Rio, Brazil to attend a qualifying event. Do the right thing and support him on his Give A Little page.

New Zealander Lenard Tejada will be competing in the first ever World Skate event of its kind in this weekend.

The event – held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil – is a mandatory step of the Olympic qualification pathway for skateboarders competing in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Skateboarding is a fledgeling sport and Lenard’s participation is fully-self funded. Like many New Zealand athletes, Lenard trains for his sport out of personal passion, over and above his full-time job. As fellow Kiwis, let’s get behind Lenard as he paves the way for other up-and-coming New Zealand skateboarders!
