Mangawahi was a wild one this year. The grommets were hungrier than ever. The women were stepping up. The masters kept the fire lit. And the men’s division featured a wild assortment of styles and trick selections. The photos tell the story.

This year marked the tenth anniversary of the first Thomson Park Bowl Jam which each year just keeps growing. Yeah Gnar NZ gave the New Brighton and New Zealand skateboarding communities a worthy celebration.

Bowlzilla is back this coming March, 2019. Lock in your leave, and make plans for Wellington’s finest skate event of the year. Competition date is 9th March, 2019, with the festival running 7-10th March, 2019.

The Yeah Gnar Bowl Jam (Previously known as ‘The Thomson Bowl Jam’) returned last weekend to New Brighton, drawing a crowd of locals, and skaters from around the country who went at it for $10k in cash and prizes across five divisions.
