New Zealand’s best Vert Skaters descended on a practically undisclosed Wanaka location yesterday for the first National Vert Titles Competition in over a decade.

The day was put together with the primary support of local Wanaka businesses and was enjoyed by a rolling crowd of 500-600 spectators over the day.

All in all the event was a huge success. Skateboarding New Zealand plans to work in partnership with more towns around the country to help define and invigorate the local scenes, while inspiring the skaters to progress and excel.

Thanks to all the skaters, event partners and community of Wanaka for coming together to make an incredible day!
