Summer’s here, Christmas is on its way, and what better way to ring in the season than with a gift for your feet.

After all, they get put through hell and high water for you to look your best. Not one to half-ass anything, New Balance Numeric have delivered one of their finest to our shores —in the form of the 358. With a touch from Arto Saari, the 358 features a clean, asymmetric design with subtle details to enhance breathability, grip and control. The 358 skate shoe sits on a modified version of their classic vulcanised soles for superior board feel.

But no need to take our word for it, see them put to the test courtesy of Cato Dobbs.

The tech talk:

The 358 features a polyurethane insert for additional support and cushioning, and is constructed from premium suede.

N-Durance® rubber compound for maximum outsole durability

Perforated N for ventilation on medial side

Split suede/mesh upper

Tapered crating in heel for weight reduction with pliable lasting board for support. Minimal forefoot rubber for enhanced board feel
