Vans announces ‘2019 Musician Wanted’ Competition. Asia-Pacific musicians enter for a chance to perform at House of Vans.

APAC (JUNE 11, 2019) – Vans, the original action sports brand and advocate for creative expression, continues to support and uplift local creative talent in all aspects of culture.  This year Vans Musicians Wanted has grown more significant than ever by bringing the competition to 10 Asia-Pacific markets including China, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Philippines. Vans Musicians Wanted aims to elevate local musicians and give them the opportunity to perform on a global music stage. The contest is open to all genres of music, through the submission of an original track and letting the world hear your music. You will be given the opportunity of showcasing your creativity at House of Vans and will also be rewarded with a music video produced by leading youth media brand MTV Asia, and played on MTV’s on-air and digital platforms[1]. Vans has also partnered with global online music broadcasting platform Boiler Room who will amplify your creations even further. Vans Musicians Wanted is accepting submissions now  through July 1 at Vans.com/musicianswanted.

This year, Vans brings together an industry recognized judging panel including Asia music legend Jun Kung, European based underground music producer & international DJ TIME, renowned underground Chinese producer & singer YEHAIYAHAN, VP of Vans Global Integrated Marketing Nick Street who is currently based in Southern California, and award-winning senior director of content and production management at Viacom International Media Networks, Sari Trisulo.

In 2018 Vans Musicians Wanted awarded Hong Kong alternative rock band Seasons for Change as the grand prize winners who won the opportunity to share the stage with ScHoolboy Q at House of Vans Guangzhou.  “We never thought we would have the chance to perform at House of Vans and be the opening act for ScHoolBoy Q. This competition has brought us new followers from different cities and an opportunity to play in other countries. We are so glad that we can be a part of this!” said Seasons for Change.
