Auckland, New Zealand (December 20, 2017) – Vans, the original action sports brand rooted in art, music and street culture, is pleased to announce the arrival of House of Vans Auckland.
The one-day, pop up event will be held at Shed 10, Auckland on Saturday 20th January, 2018. House of Vans showcases Vans’ unique culture through multifaceted activations including curated musical performances, D.I.Y workshops, street markets and custom pop-up Vans Skate Park plus much more.
The all ages day-session will kick off from 10am with workshops including learn to skate classes with Young Guns Skate School on the custom Vans skate park followed by a Skate Photography workshop run by Manual Magazine to teach budding skate photographers how to refine their craft. The workshops each have limited capacity with registration essential.
House of Vans Auckland also welcomes the Vans street market activations including tattoos and sneaker customisation from Two Hands Tattoos, barber cuts from Flash City, vinyl from Real Groovy Records and skate hardware from Boardertown.
The celebration will be headlined in the evening session with special musical performances from Auckland hardcore stalwarts The Bleeders with support from Soaked Oats, Yukon Era, Jack Berry Band and Hollywood DJs.
Free food and beverages throughout the event will be provided by Underground Coffee Roasters and Sal’s Pizza with Budweiser providing beers for the 18+ evening session.
House of Vans is where “Off The Wall” lives; it’s a place where imagination lets loose over concrete bowls, art installations, workshops and concert stages, inspiring every person who runs, rolls or stomps through its door. Located in Brooklyn, New York, Chicago, Illinois and within the Old Vic Tunnels under Waterloo Station in London, as well as pop-ups around the world, House of Vans is home to the creativity that moves us.
