The Mount Skateboard Association held the first of what they hope to be many vert jams at the Blake Park vert ramp in Mount Maunganui this past weekend.

The day didn’t start off too well because of the previous few days of rain, but the boys managed to dry the ramp out, and the sun came out to give a helping hand too. It turned out to be a great way to spend a sunny afternoon with local band The Rift providing the music, and even a free sausage sizzle.

This ramp was built over twenty years ago and it’s only with the help of the MSA that it is still standing and being maintained. The ramp is now once again scheduled for “decommission” in 2011, so the MSA are now embarking on a series of fund raising to try and prevent us from losing such an integral part of the skate community. Tim’s show at the The Depot Artspace, 28 Clarence St, Devonport, AK is closing tomorrow at 4pm. Tonight will be the last chance for all you nine to fivers in AK to see the show. From 8m tonight Tim will be putting on a few Exports, so get down there and pat him on the back.

Heres a quick look into Tim Pierce’s exhibition ‘Perceptible’.

Perceptible is being held in the main gallery at the Depot Art Space, 28 Clarence St Devonport Auckland ( Map ).
So far Tim has had a steady stream of people through and a lot of interest in his images. If you are in the area go have a look and not because I told you to but because your eyes will love you for it, but kinda because I told you to. The exhibition is on til the 23rd of April so get in!
