Seconds is a non-profit, advert free, independently produced zine that reaches out to all things that are skateboarding. Manual’s good friends Adrian Vercoe and Jake Mein birthed Seconds after realising the need for an outlet to house the high quality content, that at the time, didn’t have a home.

Issue 2 includes an interview with the Royal Denzman Dom Henry. Geoff Campbell’s speaks about his underground movements and Adam Kinsman fills you in on his second bests. Mike Halls explains taking New Zealand brands to the U.K. Ben Morice plays career advisor with 10 ways to make it in skateboarding. Harry Culy shares some Mewling Sidlers in this issues photo feature and Sean Aickin has the second last say with the second last page.

The boys will be releasing a limited edition print run. NZD $16.50 plus shipping will get you one of these fine, collectable publications. Issue 2 is 64 pages, printed in full colour and A6 in size (148mm x 105mm). Order yours here.

On a fresh and wintery Friday morning, the Substance tour rendezvoused at the Wellington ferry terminal. It was there that Ben McLellan, Dallas Marshall (Daliman), Sean Bone (Thug), Gus Curwood, Chris Maessen (Big Red), Jake Mein and Adam Kinsman set sail southward in search of some southern comfort. Favourite Magazine cover?
Karl Truell – NZ Skateboarder. Props Kev and Karl, it was awesome to see a non-trick cover, but had just as much if not more of an impact than a trick.

What are your bad habits?
Hating on mankind, ejaculation failure, not keeping in contact with many, I wish I was, (thinking of you all) copious consumption, outrageous what ifs, brushes with the law, falling head over heels inshit. Excessive TTT answers.

Whats the worst thing about skateboarding in NZ?
Homies/kids with the most natural of talent find drugs and crime and bomb down that infinite hill of madness badness and sadness. Im sure many can relate.

What are the three best things about skateboarding in NZ?
Humble attitudes, underground talent, ghetto spots galore. My favourite.
