Manual Magazine #60: The Summer Issue, 2015

We are 60 issues deep and we are still fuelled on junk food and dodgy Malaysian. We just swapped PCs for dodgy Apple products.

On the cover: Harry Culy, wallie, Tokyo. Photo by Jake Mein.

In Karaage Boyz, Element New Zealand give you their guide to getting by in the Land of the Rising Sun.

In Secure lodgings we hop the ditch and check in to Oakley’s In Residence Sydney with Sean Malto, Atiba Jefferson and Curren Caples.

Morgan Campbell heads to Bali in Searching for Gregor Rankine, grabbing a moped to track down the southern equivalent of Animal Chin. Justice Reid is Decent Decent, Ben Wallis meets his Turning Point, Gus Curwood is Revealed and Jake Darwen lays open his luggage.

Also in this issue: Liam Campbell, Erin Forsyth, Digby Luxton, Jack Dargan, Max Couling, Billy McLachlan, Sean Duffell, Hootie Andrewes, Harry Culy, Christian Low, Jack Fagan, Jarrad Carlin, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Chase Collins and much more.

Fortune at our feet, we tag along with the Akcent Skateboards as they explore Auckland’s spots old and new in search of a fitting tribute or a new standard.

Dan Gemmell is breaking all types of records in Plenty of Time. Claiming the night with some serious photo body count that even Ice-T would envy.

Morgan Campbell delves into the mystery behind the Lee Ralph Wall grind, Dave Dobbyn takes Roy Irwin’s money, Cade Wilson Russ is at a Turning point & Toby Locke presents his favourite things.

Also in this issue: Andrew Allen, Josh Pall, Ken Griffen, Ben Wallis, Sean Bone, Hootie Andrewes, Earl Sweatshirt, Leigh Bolton, Vincent Bolt, Zach Wheeler, Elijah Robertson, Andrew Haeata, Jesse Abolins & many more.

Manual is available throughout New Zealand and Australia, and digitally through zinio.com.

Manual Snow

mm_snow_cover2MANUAL SNOW 01
Created in Winter of 2003 this is the one and only issue of Manual Snow. A collectors item now, so this is just a rub in the face. After the release of Manual Snow future issues of Manual had a more seasonal focus, with more snowboarding content in the winter months.
