Phil Culf recently took over Velocity skate shop in New Plymouth. On Saturday he put on the second annual Velocity Bowl Blaze at East End Skatepark. New Plymouth put on a scorcher of a day with shredders from around the country attending.
This year a vert wall was added painted by graffiti artist Phil ‘suspect’ Jones, adding to the J Adams tribute piece he did on the taco last year.
Nolan Ewart was on the offical MC with help from Orson Reynolds. Shaun Boucher fresh from taking top NZ honours at Bowlzilla took 1st place in the Open men’s.
