The legendary Sal 23, made famous by 90’s street skating pioneer Sal Barbier, has remained one of the most iconic and demanded pro skate shoes of all time. So it’s a no brainer that when it came to éS celebrating their 20 years of commitment to skateboarding, they brought back a slimmed down version, the Sal 20 – Peep this video with archival footage, new clips and Sal breaking down the Sal 20’s design process.
The Sal 20 is now available at select stores throughout NZ, including Fusion, Cheapskates Wanaka, Boardertown and Velocity Skate Shop.
The shoe features a slimmed down version of the classic Barbier with a smooth suede upper, a triple stitched toe cap, with a durable rubber Ollie protection panel. A “20” stitching at the back side, with a perforated thin padded tongue for maximum breathability and comfort. Also features a neoprene forefoot wrap that provides you with added comfort and helps keep your foot locked down while you skate. All designed atop a cupsole construction with 400 NBS outsole for grip making it very flexible and allowing you to get some great board feel and flex.
