Bowman Hansen punched out heavyweight tricks like this stalefish tailbone.

The 4th annual Mangawhai Bowl Jam was blazing hot – boasting a record crowd, relentless sun and a lineup of ferocious ‘crete shredders from all over the country. Bowman Hansen was a force from the moment he dropped in, and despite some legendary ripping from the likes of Shaun Boucher, Sam Haven, Mike Bancroft, Ben Wallis, Chris Wood and Josh Wilson, he was a shoe in for the win. Things are good with the state of skateboarding in New Zealand, especially with these guys around. Big ups to Jesse Peters from Ultimate Skate and all of the sponsors: G-Shock, Vans, Spitfire Wheels, Like Wise Clothing, Thunder Trucks, Premium Skate Designs. It was another incredible event. Here’s a few pics from the day. All photos by David Read.
