Skateboarding Australia’s: The Island Pro/Am Comp was last Saturday on Cockatoo Island in Sydney. After a particularly brutal Xmas party on Friday night, I arrived late at the Circular Quay ferry terminal to catch a boat to ‘The Island’. While the ride was smooth I was about as shady as you’d imagine. Thankfully I didn’t have to photograph the skating, so I brought a camera along to shoot some party pics for this blog and started on the beers again.
It was a sick day and although I missed most of the heats, I got to catch the finals and meet up with some of the guys from around Australia. Chima won on the day, Tommy took out second and Jack Fardell third. In the overall standings Tommy won, crowning him the series winner.
