Forum NZ Below The Belt Video

Posted by David Read on Monday September 19 2011

When the Forum New Zealand snowboard crew get together there is always carnage, and this year was no exception. The crew was wasabi snorter Rene Ribotton, Benji Oppan the six foot five nice guy, Remark’s Park crew champion Ash Guthrie, Queenstown shredder Mahi Mains, our token Seppo Josh Zerkel and Liam Ryan.

The first morning we woke to find a decent amount of snow on the ground. The heaviest storm to hit New Zealand in the last 15 years had left snow covering the ground in Queenstown and Christchurch, with more on the way. We had a good crew of snowboarders plus a photographer and filmer, and all the gears to hit up urban features. This never happens, especially in New Zealand!

Filmed and edited by Andy Lyall
Music: Man’s world by J Dilla
Additional footage by Lockie Sutherland

Thanks to everyone that helped make this happen. David Read at Manual magazine. Joel and Matt at Higher Ground. Johnny McCormack, the top bloke who snapped all the photos. Lockie, Cam and Ben for sorting out the winch, shoveling snow and filming. Luke and Nick at MMpro for letting me stealing a camera for the week. Leon and Soph for letting us crash regardless of what time we arrived home. Ash Guthrie for sharing his computers hard drive. All the team for breaking bones trying to make shit happen.
