Lyttelton’s too trendy nowadays, boy racing’s in the blood, I’m too big for Oamaru, fear of missing out on quotes, Woodstock window washer guy Wednesdays at Eastgate mall, people-watching at Eastgate, documenting abandoned trolleys and stray Woody cans, drinking cheap Woodys out at Pegasus.

The best piece of advice ever given to me is “Just find something that you like doing and do it”

Settled with a family and teaching at a primary school that hopefully has a nice ledge or manny pad

What’s your all time favourite skate photo?
Matt Hensley “Ollie on a Bridge” Transworld August 1990. I think I’ve only ever bought a couple of mags since then.
What’s your favourite warm-up spot?
Stretching at home then games of at the Denzel
What’s your favourite place to travel to?
Dunedin, Timaru, Oamaru, Benmore, Reefton, Quenstown, Auckland. I’d like to get to Wellington and see some more of the north sometime soon
Name your all time all star skate team
I don’t do mega teams like Nike, so apart from all the givens from back in the day I’d make it Rodney Torres, Curtis McCann, Marcus Wyndam, Mike Daher, Phil Shao, Julien Stranger, Eric Ricks, Rick Howard, Mike Frazier as the vert guy, Rick Ibaseta (3:44) because they deserve more cred.
If I could make a team from recents it’d be something like Benny Fairfax, Gilbert Crockett, Danny Brady, Jack Sabback, Bobby Worrest and Danny Renaud; 30 minute vid, no intros or messing around

What’s your favourite YouTube clip?
Meh I don’t do too much YouTube, it’s all pretty “man gets hit in groin by football” if you ask me, but its good for checking out new stuff like Stephen K Amos or for getting nostalgic, like my top 5 skate parts:

I’ve never really done much about getting either, so I’d have to say just skate and have fun
In your mind what’s the best skate park in New Zealand?
That new park in Auckland looks sick. There should be more without all the stairs and rails though; a replica of pier 7 or something
