Welcome to the second edition of Friday Photo. We are going to have a bit of a blowout this week as we’ve been sent quite a few images. And it just seems right to share them with you. First off we start with Tony Miles’s pic simply titled: Hanging around, Washington Way Skate Park, Christchurch.

LUKE BROWNE
Here’s a few shots I took over the weekend. The first picture is a kickflip to fakie by Sam Crabtree at some drainage ditch we found in the middle of a reserve in Havelock. We swept it clean and skated for a while trying to get a few tricks, got a few chips when his board fell down the 10foot drop off the side a few times, but in the end this photo came out the best. The Second photo was shot on Sunday and it’s Pat Pollock backside flipping the library gap in Napier. The weather made the colours rad as the sun was setting, and was still warm too which is cool. Pat is definitely ripping at the moment and can pull one out the bag any time!

JESSE SIMMONS
I took these two photos in August when me and nine mates from Otago took the week off Uni to go snowboarding at Temple Basin. It was an epic trip and we scored amazing snow and weather, something like 60cms of fresh snow in the first three days followed by three days of sunshine. It was the best snowboarding I have done in New Zealand by far and definitly worth taking the week off.

Ash Fogelberg doing a crazy blunt stall nose grab at 6pm after a huge day riding deep powder, building jumps and shooting on various features.

Phil-Shack2
Phil Dominick on the same night hitting a jump to the left of the mini quarter pipe.

Both of these images sum up an epic adventure with good mates, good snow, on an amazing mountain. For most of us it was the first time riding the nutcrackers but is most certainly won’t be the last! Go the Clubbies! More images on Jesse’s blog.
